Who I am

Elizabeth Hamby works between the studio, the classroom, and the city. Using drawing, installation, and participatory workshops, she explores the dynamics of place and the rhythms of everyday experience. Elizabeth has worked with museums, non-profits, and city agencies on projects related to the ways that everyday people interact with the patterns and processes that shape the built environment and urban public space.

She is the principal and co-founder of Meta Local Collaborative and Boogie Down Rides, and her work has been included in exhibitions at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and the Museum of the City of New York, and was presented in a solo exhibition at Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education.
